About me
Megan Huffman has 21 years of nonprofit experience both as a professional and volunteer. With expertise in marketing and sales, fundraising, corporate social responsibility, nonprofit management, and event planning she is committed to breaking down silos and building partnerships between corporations, individuals, and nonprofits.
Megan has served as the Director of Community Outreach & SHARE Greater Lynchburg at the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation since 2020. She has previously served as Director of Development at Water Missions International in Charleston, SC and Sales Manager/Nonprofit Marketing Director at CBS19 in Charlottesville, VA. She is a graduate of Bridgewater College where she studied Communications and Psychology and Boston University’s Master of Nonprofit Public Relations program. She is a 2005 Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charlottesville graduate and 2021 Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance Leadership Lynchburg graduate.
Since moving to Lynchburg in 2013, Megan has served as a volunteer leader or board member with dozens of local nonprofits. She currently serves on the Freedom First Credit Union Lynchburg Advisory Board and Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities Lynchburg Advisory Board. In 2026, she was honored with the YWCA Central Virginia Women of Distinction Luncheon Community Champion Award.
