About me
For the past three years, Jill Queen has served with United Way of South Hampton Roads as the Joan P. Brock Endowed Director of Women United. She collaborates with donors across all levels to support women’s philanthropy initiatives, including local mobility-mentoring programs that Women United began in South Hampton Roads. Jill helps steward an $11.7 million endowment, supporting the unique 10 for 10 program that sustains it with $100,000 annually. Through the affinity group, she engages 750+ donors with monthly events focused on fundraising, networking opportunities, volunteer initiatives, and program strategy. Jill focuses on finding connections between donors, the nonprofits they serve, and the community, relying on data alongside intentional one-on-one conversations to strengthen the affinity group model. She also facilitates multiple donor councils to help guide strategy and investments.
