About me
Kris’s path into philanthropy began with her study of medical anthropology, a field that deepened her understanding of human behavior, community health, and the structural forces that shape social outcomes. That academic foundation continues to inform her approach to fundraising: thoughtful, inclusive, and attuned to the stories and relationships that drive generosity.
Over the course of her career, Kris has helped raise nearly one billion dollars for organizations across sectors. She integrates data with narrative, helping clients translate insight into strategy and strategy into sustainable philanthropic growth. Volunteer engagement and partnership development remain particular areas of passion, and she is recognized for creating environments where collaboration thrives.
Kris is also active in the broader fundraising community. She serves as Immediate Past President of the Board for the Association of Fundraising Professionals—DC Metro Area Chapter and Co-Chair of Volunteers for the Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Union Meeting Hall in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, reflecting a continued commitment to community-led change.
She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her partner, Brendan, and their dog, Brodie. Outside of work, Kris enjoys hiking, traveling, and connecting with the communities and landscapes that inspire her belief in the power of collective action.
