Tricia Ambler serves as Director of Organizational Giving at Sheltering Arms Foundation. In this role, she leads efforts to secure philanthropic support from foundation and corporate funders, working closely with program staff to align funding opportunities with strategic priorities. She is responsible for identifying and cultivating organizational support, helping to advance initiatives that enhance patient care and strengthen community impact.
In addition to her fundraising responsibilities, Tricia oversees digital communications, including social media, email, and newsletters. Through these channels, she helps elevate Sheltering Arm's voice, strengthen engagement with key audiences, and communicate the impact of Sheltering Arms’ programs and services.
Tricia brings more than 30 years of experience in fundraising, with a career that spans a wide range of nonprofit organizations. Her background reflects a deep commitment to mission-driven work and a strong understanding of the evolving philanthropic landscape.
She holds undergraduate degrees in French and Political Science, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
