Abby Peterkin serves as Chief Development Officer at The Up Center, where she leads the organization's philanthropic strategy, donor engagement, marketing, and community partnerships in support of its mission to partner with children, families, and communities to improve lives and outcomes.A Norfolk native, Abby brings more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare, corporate strategy, and nonprofit development. Prior to joining The Up Center, she held executive leadership roles with Anthem and Cigna, where she led initiatives focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable populations, advancing value based care, and building strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors.Abby is passionate about connecting people and organizations to opportunities that create lasting community impact. She is committed to strengthening philanthropy throughout Hampton Roads and helping ensure every child and family has access to the support they need to thrive. She lives in Norfolk with her husband and three daughters.
